Gypsum boards with fibrous reinforcement (gypsum boards with mat reinforcement) is a flat panel material with a plaster core and a woven or non-woven coating made of organic and/or inorganic fibers. The core can also contain fibers, additives and fillers in order to achieve additional properties. According to EN 15283-1, fiber-reinforced plasterboards are to be identified with the type designation “GM”. Depending on the performance features, specific letters must be added to this type designation, similar to those of the plasterboard. They are primarily used as wall and ceiling cladding in rooms with increased requirements in terms of moisture resistance and fire protection.
