Wood fibre insulation consists of more than 80% wood fibres, the product is factory made and if necessary adhesive agents or other additives are added. The product is mainly used for thermal and acoustic insulation in building construction, produced of softwood and available as rolls, mats and boards. The raw material is basically waste wood from saw mills, e.g. slabs or chips. There are two manufacturing processes: wet process and dry process.
